Expanding the Nursing Talent Pipeline
U.S. healthcare organizations continue to experience persistent and hard-to-fill nursing vacancies. Anthem PB is developing a complementary international talent pipeline connecting qualified nursing professionals from African, Caribbean, and other English-speaking countries with U.S. healthcare employers.
Our goal is to supplement — not replace — domestic recruitment by broadening the pool of qualified candidates available to participating healthcare organizations.

Supplement, not replace
Domestic recruitment remains essential. Anthem PB is exploring a complementary international RN pipeline so participating organizations can broaden the pool of qualified candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
Early work focuses on careful screening, preparation, and coordination with authorized professionals—so any pilot partnership is responsible from the start.
Licensure, credentialing and immigration services are coordinated through appropriately qualified and authorized partners. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and candidate.
Our Initial Focus: Registered Nurses
Anthem PB is currently exploring pilot partnerships with healthcare organizations interested in supplementing their existing recruitment strategies with a carefully developed international RN pipeline.
- Initial pilot concept: 5–10 qualified international registered nurses.
- Employer needs determine candidate profiles and specialties.
- Anthem PB focuses on sourcing, screening, preparation, coordination, onboarding and retention support.
- Credentialing, licensure and immigration matters are coordinated with appropriate qualified and authorized professionals.
Small pilots. Employer-defined profiles. Partner-coordinated compliance.
We welcome conversations with organizations that want to understand whether an international nursing pipeline could complement—not replace—their current recruitment approach.
How Anthem PB Adds Value
A developing end-to-end approach—sourcing through support—built for pilot partnerships with clear roles and responsible coordination.
- SOURCE
- We are developing international nursing talent networks across African, Caribbean, and other English-speaking countries—building relationships with institutions and professionals who can help identify candidates aligned with U.S. employer needs.
- SCREEN
- We focus on identifying candidates whose education, professional experience, and career objectives align with participating employers’ requirements—prioritizing fit and readiness over volume.
- COORDINATE
- We help organize the recruitment journey alongside appropriately qualified and authorized credentialing, licensing, and immigration professionals. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and candidate.
- PREPARE
- We support candidates as they prepare for transition into U.S. healthcare workplaces and communities—so readiness extends beyond credentials alone.
- SUPPORT
- We plan for post-placement integration and retention support as part of a responsible pilot partnership—not a one-time placement handoff.

Why organizations explore a pilot
Screening quality first
Pilots start with careful candidate screening against employer requirements—so conversations stay grounded in fit, not volume.
Compliance coordinated with partners
Credentialing, licensure, and immigration are coordinated with appropriately qualified and authorized professionals. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and candidate.
Preparation and onboarding
Beyond matching resumes, we emphasize preparation for U.S. workplace transition and plan for onboarding and integration support as part of a responsible pilot.
Small, manageable pilot size
The initial concept is a focused cohort of 5–10 RNs—sized for learning, coordination quality, and employer-defined specialty needs.
