International Healthcare Professionals
Build Your Career in the United States
Anthem PB connects qualified international healthcare professionals with potential employment opportunities in the United States.
We are developing a talent pipeline of experienced healthcare professionals from African countries and other international markets who are interested in advancing their careers with U.S. healthcare organizations.
Our initial recruitment priority is Registered Nurses (RNs), with additional healthcare professions considered based on employer needs.
Anthem PB does not guarantee employment, immigration approval, professional licensure, or visa issuance. Final hiring decisions are made by participating healthcare employers, and professional licensure and immigration approvals are determined by the appropriate U.S. authorities.

International Healthcare Recruitment: Estimated Costs
Anthem PB does not collect NCLEX, licensing-board, credential-evaluation, English-testing or VisaScreen fees. These payments are made directly to the responsible testing, licensing or credentialing organization unless a written employer-sponsored arrangement states otherwise.
Candidate professional-readiness costs
Professional-readiness item
---
Credential evaluation
State licensing-board application
NCLEX registration
International NCLEX scheduling
English-language examination
VisaScreen
Fingerprints and background checks
Transcripts, license verification and document delivery
Optional preparation courses and travel
Internationally educated nurses should generally plan for approximately $2,500–$3,500 in professional-readiness expenses when examinations are passed on the first attempt and extensive travel is unnecessary.
Employer sponsorship costs
The sponsoring employer is generally responsible for:
- Immigration petition and employer filing costs
- Required prevailing-wage and posting processes
- Employer-required legal and compliance costs
- Costs that immigration or employment law prohibits transferring to the worker
- Employer onboarding, credentialing and workplace orientation
Fees are estimates and may change without notice. Actual costs vary by profession, licensing state, country, testing location and individual circumstances. Candidates should confirm current fees directly with the responsible organization before making payment. Last reviewed: September 2026.
